The SECCA project, funded by the European Union, aims to support Central Asian countries in advancing energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy, and enhancing regional energy cooperation. By aligning with European Union best practices, the initiative assists governments in developing robust policy frameworks, such as National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Action Plans. Additionally, SECCA focuses on improving energy data management and statistical capabilities to ensure informed decision-making.

A key aspect of SECCA’s impact is its investment in capacity building. Through specialized training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing platforms, the project ensures the transfer of expertise to local professionals and institutions. This approach strengthens regional energy security, facilitates cross-border energy trade, and fosters an enabling environment for sustainable energy investments.

The project has significant people-focused impacts, improving the quality of life by promoting reliable and sustainable energy sources. By empowering local professionals with expertise in energy efficiency and renewable energy, SECCA also creates new job opportunities and supports economic development, contributing to long-term economic and environmental benefits in the region.
